What is the typical size
of a Labradoodle?
Our Miniature F1 Labradoodles are
between 16-18 inches and our Miniature
F1b Labradoodles are 15-17 inches.
How long will a
Labradoodle live for?
It is expected that a healthy
Labradoodle should live between 13 and
16 years.
How much exercise do
they need?
We recommend all puppies under 12 months
old need exercise restricted, this is to
prevent hip and joint problems, which
can be induced at this time of rapid
growth. Puppies can play in the garden
and this is quite adequate, with a
gradual increase as they become older.
Adult Labradoodles will need a moderate
amount of exercise; they make great
running, jogging, cycling and even
swimming companions. Labradoodles excel
at agility and obedience and
retrieving. They are eager to learn and
make great companions/working dogs
alike.
What food should i
feed my Labradoodle?
There is such a wealth of information on
diet and nutrition these days, its quite
a science, however we recommend the
Eukanuba
dog food range, we find this to be a
high quality dog food packed full of all
the right vitamins and minerals. We add
a little tripe (which maintains a
healthy digestive system, a superb shiny
coat and is very good for bone growth)
or
Pedigree Chum
tined meat/pouches to the Eukanuba
Biscuit to make it more interesting and
tasty. We find this mix to do our dogs
very well and our dogs enjoy their food
and digest it easily. Water is
essential and fresh water must be
available to all dogs at all times and
both food and water bowls should be made
from a material that can be properly
cleaned.
What health problems
affect Labradoodles?
Labradoodles are generally healthy dogs.
However, it is important that breeders
hip and elbow score and eye test
breeding stock. Which for us as
responsible breeders is a priority.
Labradoodles generally have a vibrant
health status. However, as with humans
environmental and dietary factors are
also very important.
Are all Labradoodles
non-shedding and allergy friendly?
No, is the simple answer. We rely on our
experience with previous litters and our
wider knowledge...while most people who
have had puppies from us have told us
they moult very little and seem to do
well with them, there are always
exceptions...and it is very important
that those who suffer from allergies are
very aware prior to buying a puppy that
BRITISH LABRADOODLES DO MOULT, we
recommend any allergy sufferer
considering a Labradoodle should consult
their Doctor regarding their allergy
prior to purchasing a puppy!
If you are considering a Labradoodle
because you understood they were
hypoallergenic please click and read the
important information on the link below:

How much grooming do
they need?
We recommend grooming once a week for
wavy/scruffy coats these tend to need
very little maintenance. Curly/scruffy
coats require lots of grooming (daily)
and need to be trimmed two or three
times a year.
Do Labradoodles make
good family pets?
Labradoodles are the ultimate family
companion. Labradoodles are patient,
intelligent, sociable, loving, loyal and
kind. They are non-aggressive and love
to make you laugh and will go to great
lengths to make you happy. They also
thrive when living close to you and tend
to gravitate towards the younger members
of the family. family time for a doodles
ids of the highest importance, so
families who can not give this type of
time should think carefully about having
a doodle.
Can my Labradoodle
be left all day in the house alone?
Labradoodles are very
intelligent dogs and need lots of social
interaction and mental stimulation.
Deprived of this environment, as with
other breeds renowned for their
intelligence, their frustration and
unhappiness could lead to behaviour
problems. If your lifestyle would mean
frequently leaving a dog on its own for
lengthy periods, it is unlikely that the
Labradoodle is the dog for you.
What age will my
puppy be when it leaves you?
We allow puppies to go to their new
families between 7-8 weeks of age. This
is the time we feel that puppies can
cope with change at their best.
Male or female -
which makes the better pet?
We find there is very little difference,
as both male and female Labradoodles
make excellent pets once
neutered/spayed.
Could we have a
litter of puppies from one of your Mini
Doodles?
Only if your interest in breeding was
discussed prior to purchasing a puppy,
the pet contract that new owners enter
into is a legally binding document and
those who wish to breed from their dog
in the future a) have to be selected a
breeding quality puppy and b) have to
enter into a breeding contract where
different terms and conditions will
apply.
